James Adams was admitted to North Hyde Schools, Lambeth, England [EDITORS NOTE: North Hyde School was a Roman Catholic orphanage for boys was established in 1854 by the Brothers of Mercy. It was located in a disused barracks to which other buildings were later added. In 1906 the Sisters of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary took over the orphanage. It seems to have closed in 1935.].
James Adams was admitted to St. Mary's Roman Catholic Orphanage, Brentwood, England, from the North Hyde Schools on May 11, 1894.
He was discharged on September 3, 1896 "to be emigrated to Canada."
