Notes In 1899, Kate Alexander, 14, arrived at Quebec, Canada, in a group of 22 girls from the Waifs and Strays Society accompanied by Rev. Mr. R. O. Greep and en route to Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario, Canada.

Age 14, very advantageous home, employed as general servant, very healthy, attends Church of England, does not attend school, she has a fair education. Character-could not be better. Terms-$3 per month wages. She is entirely satisfactory. Her mistress states that she is an exceptionally bright girl. The girl is fond of this family, and receives good treatment. She is a girl of very good appearance

Age 16, Kate Alexander is doing well and is well thought of by the family, her third year with them. She enjoys good health, and is contented, and has always been kindly treated, attends Church of England. She is a girl of nice manners and neat appearance. Wages at present, $3 per month.
