In 1920, Alice Doris Andrews, 14, arrived at Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada, in a group of 100 Barnardo girls en route to Peterborough, Ontario, Canada. Her nearest relative in England was her mother, Mrs. Andrews, 14, The Causeway, Teddington, Middlesex, England. [EDITORS NOTE: This was the first group of home children to arrive in Canada after World War I.]
