Parents: William Henry Andrews and Caroline Jane Saunders, married 1887 in Camberwell, Surrey, England.

In 1920, Alice Doris Andrews, 14, arrived at Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada, in a group of 100 Barnardo girls en route to Peterborough, Ontario, Canada. Her nearest relative in England was her mother, Mrs. Andrews, 14, The Causeway, Teddington, Middlesex, England. [EDITORS NOTE: This was the first group of home children to arrive in Canada after World War I.]

On August 31, 1924, Alice Doris Andrews, 19, arrived back in England on the ship SS Canada. She declared her intended address as 245 Hollydale Road, Peckham, London and that she was a domestic.
