NotesJ.F. Reisig was released from Württemberg nationality on 16th February 1884 (Kreisregierung Ellwangen No. 925). He emigrated to England at the age of 16 and a half years.He came to England without any knowledge of English.On 23rd November 1890 he married Karoline Grün (Caroline Green) of Windisch Brachbach at the church of St. Giles in Liverpool. Karoline Green was the sister of the pork butcher George Michael Green in Congleton. The couple had four children: Frederick, Anna, Rose and Charles.J.F.Reisig became naturalized on1st Dec. 1896 (Cert.No.9410) and inofficially changed his name to Roberts in 1919, having applied in 1916.
