General Information Surname Search Advanced Search Add Edit Delete Names Show all with my Surname Interests Frequently Asked Questions Go to Top	: Help Pages To learn more about how to use the Surname Interests Table (SIT), please click on a link on the left. Add / Edit / Delete Names: Adding Names Click on Surname Interest: You must enter a name here, all other fields are optional. Please enter only one surname per entry. Variations can be entered in separate entries. Only alphabetic characters are allowed !! There are three exceptions to this rule: the apostrophe ' is allowed (O'Crikey, D'Atsustold, L'Otsofus, etc) If you enter a space, you will be asked if this is a valid name. (usually names of foreign origin: De Licious, , Van Ity, etc) If it's a forename, put it in the Comment field, please. If you enter a hyphen, you will be asked if this is a double-barrelled name. If it is that's fine, carry on In your own interest, please don't abuse these exceptions If you put more than one name in a line, none of them will show up in a simple search !! County: (for UK and Ireland) You can enter a county from the drop-down menu. As we do not have separate "County Surname Interest Tables" it is recommended that you enter a county here for later searches. If your ancestors lived in more than one county, please enter separately for each county. Place, Village or Parish: Useful for localising searches. Comments: Enter anything you like here, that could help when searching.

If you had previously entered in the 'County' field, you will need to re-enter the data 4) Save the data
