Attestation papers were signed 15 Jun 1915 in Niagara, Ontario. Edward Riordan was born 1 Aug 1890 in Reading, Berkshire, England. His Next of Kin was Mrs. Edward Riordan of Newmarket, Ontario. Commonwealth War Graves Registers and Circumstances of Casualty confirm he was Killed in Action in an attack north of Passchendaele. His body was unrecovered, his name is written on the Menin Gate Memorial in Ypres, West Flanders, Belgium.
