NotesPeter Morrow, 87 Peter Morrow 87, died at the Brockville General Hospital early Tuesday morniing, September 8, after being a patient for more then three years. He was the husband of Ida Morrow, who resides at the Buell-Fitzsimmons Manor, 80 Walter Street West. Peter John Morrow was born in Ireland on January 3, 1900. At the age of 14 he came to Brockville to the Fairknowe Home, after which he went to Lake Eloida, where he was raised by the Cole family. He moved to Merrickville where he worked for Percival Plow. In 1941 he went to Avondale Farm, at RR3 Bockville, where he continued to work until 1952 when he moved to Brockville, going to work for the school board. He worked at Brock School for a number of years, retiring at the age of 65. Mr. Morrow's main interest was his family, but he enjoyed fishing, farming and all sports, and in his younger days, played in a band. He was a member of Wall Street United Church. He was married to former Ida Fenlong in 1923 in Athens. Besides his wife, he leaves two daughters, Mrs. Ernie Noonan (Doris) of Oakville, and Marina Gogo of Brockville. Seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren also survive. Friends are being received at the Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel, 4 James Street EAst, until Thursday, when the funeral services will be held in the chapel at noon, with Reverend George Clifford of Wall Street United Church officiate. Interment will follow in Lehigh's Cemetery, Frankville. Pallbearers will be Brian Gogo, Danny, Randy and Todd Noonam and Carl and Don Fenlong. In memoriams to the Heart and Stroke Foundation will be gratefully acknowledged.
