On October 14, 1914, at Blenheim, Kent, Ontario, Canada, a marriage was registered between Rachel Acheson, 21, born in Ireland to James Acheson and Mary Ann Doherty; and Henry Morrison Mairs, 21, farm laborer, born in Ulster, Ireland [EDITORS NOTE: Actually born May 22, 1895 in
Belgamore, Ireland), to James Mairs and Isabella Cameron.

Henry and Rachel Acheson Mairs had at least 4 children: Anne Margret Mairs, born 1919 in Blenheim, Kent, Ontario, Canada (died 2000); Helen Isabele Mairs, born 1931 (died August 28, 2008); Evelyn Mairs; and James Mairs.
