NotesThe family lived at 94 Bread Street between 1900. They also are listed in 1903-1905 directories as living at either 71 or 91 Bread Street No. 1. Francis McKinney was a labaourer, then a turner, and finally as a fitter. In 1906 the famly were residing at 106 Bread Street.

Family stories tell that her mother, Mary Elizabeth Fisher, and father, Francis McKinney, living in Belfast, Ireland, had a dispute over the religion in which their three daughters should be raised. Her father was Roman Catholic and her mother Protestant. Between 1906 and 1908 Mary took the girls and moved to 117 Lord Street, Belfast, without Frank McKinney. Mary then changed the girls surnames to Fisher, her maiden name.

Mary Elizabeth Fisher, aged 41 years, died of Pulmonary Tuberculosis, on May 2nd, 1908, at this address. Mary's death certificate shows her as being widowed at death.

As per Mary's request, the three children were given shelter by a Protestant minister who placed the two younger girls, including Teresa, in the care of Barnardo's Homes. Sara, the oldest girl stayed with, and worked for, a former neighbor until she was able to emigrate to Canada.

In 1912, Minnie F. Fisher, 12 (along with her sister, Teresa Fisher, 15) arrived at Quebec, Canada, along with 132 Barnardo girls en route to Peterborough, Ontario, Canada.

Minnie Frances Fisher married Curnel Byron Mussell, son of Isaac and Caroline (Barton) Mussell, born c. 1895 in North Dakota, United States. They had four children: James Mussell; Jean Mussell; Ralph Mussell; and Dorothy Mussell.

Minnie Frances Fisher Mussell died February 7, 1986, at the age of 86, in Bay City, Michigan, United States. Curnel Byron Mussell died September 4, 1951, in Jackson, Michigan, United States.
