He declared that he was accompanied by no one; that he was 49 years of age; that he was born in London, England; that he was a painter by trade; that he originally had entered the US in March, 1895, through Portland, Maine; that his last permanent residence was at the YMCA in Niagra Falls, Ontario, Canada; that his contact in Ontario was Mary Kenney; and that he had resided in the United States previously from 1922-1925. He was described as 5 foot 4 inches in height; medium complexion; brown eyes and brown hair, with no distinguishing marks.
