In 1908, David Adderley, 11, arrived at Quebec, Canada, with a group of 109 girls, en route to Peterborough, Ontario, Canada, and 219 boys, en route to Toronto, Ontario, Canada, accompanied by Mr. Lloyd.

On April 17, 1918, at Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, David Gerald Adderley, 21, was drafted as a defaulter under the Military Service Act. He declared that he resided in Baldur P.O., Manitoba, Canada; that he was born March 25, 1897; that he was born in Birmingham, England; that he was not married; that he was a member of the Methodist faith; that he was a farmer; that his next of kind was his mother, Mrs. Lily Adderley, who resided at 38 Dunsink Road, Witton, Birmingham, England. He was described as 5 foot 6 inches in height; fair complexion; blue eyes; light brown hair.

On December 18, 1926, in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, a marriage was registered between David Gerard Adderley and Ida Maude Richardson. (Registration No.: 1926-056162)

From the Manitoba Free Press, Thursday, December 23, 1926:

"Miss Ida Richardson, Winnipeg, became the bride of Mr. D. G. Addersley [sic], of Baldur, on Saturday evening, Dec. 18, at 7 o'clock. Rev. G. L. Waite, of Maryland Methodist church, officiating. The bride looked charming in a pretty white gown of georgette crepe, with veil and orange blossoms. The wedding march was played by Mr. H. F. Rolf, of Winnipeg. Immediately after the ceremony a buffet luncheon was served.

After a short honeymoon the young couple will be at home to their friends at 535 Agnes street, Winnipeg."
