In 1901, Harold Morris, 2 years of age, was shown residing at 48 Kenyon Street, All Saints, Birmingham, Warwickshire, England. Other family members included: Elsie Morris, 4; Frances Morris, 9; Herbert Morris, 5; Minnie Morris, 11; Thomas Morris, 39, jewelers engraver / goldsmith; and Thomas Morris, 13, jewelers engraver. In 1908, Harold Morris, 9 (along with sister, Elsie Morris, 11; and brother Herbert Morris, 11) arrived in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, in a group of 151 Middlemore children from Birmingham, England.

In 1911, Harold Morris, 12, is shown as a lodger with William and Juliette Cluff of Northampton Parish, Grafton, Carleton, New Brunswick, Canada. His date of birth is shown as June 1898 and his immigration year from Canada as 1908.

Harold's older sister, Minnie Morris Watton immigrated to California, USA, and Harold followed.

Harold Morris married Vadia Wait. They removed to Washington State, USA and had six children. He remained there until his death in 1978.

His granddaughter, Becky, related:

"Grandpa was a easy going man. He raised 6 children and 29 grandchildren; 26 greats; and a bunch of Great-greats before he died in 1978. He told us many stories about when he was a cowboy in California, but very little about his life in England.

He was the kind of man that nothing was so much trouble that a cup of coffee and chair could not clear it up. He always did for others without expecting something in return. He always had big gardens to feed all of us (there was a garden just for the grandkids, too).

[Harold Morris] was just the kind of Grandpa you always wanted."
