In 1901, Herbert Morris, 5 years of age, was shown residing at 48 Kenyon Street, All Saints, Birmingham, Warwickshire, England. Other family members included: Harold Morris, 2; Frances Morris, 9; Elsie Morris, 4; Minnie Morris, 11; Thomas Morris, 39, jewelers engraver / goldsmith; and Thomas Morris, 13, jewelers engraver. In 1908, Herbert Morris, 11 (along with sister, Elsie Morris, 11 and brother, Harold Morris, 9) arrived in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, in a group of 151 Middlemore children from Birmingham, England.

In 1911, Herbert Morris, 16, and his sister, Elsie Morris, 14, were shown as domestics to Elizabeth Secord and Olive Smith of Wakefield, Carleton, New Brunswick, Canada. Herbert's date of birth was shown as March 1895 and his immigration year from England as 1908.

Herbert's older sister, Minnie Morris, married a Mr. Watton in England and immigrated to California after first collecting Herbert, Elsie and Harold.

Herbert Morris married a young woman named Lottie and moved to South Valley, New York, USA, where Lottie's family owned a farm.

Herbert Morris died between 1967-1968 in New York, USA.
