NotesIn 1901, Joseph Argent, 9, son, with mother Elizabeth in Sheffield, Yorkshire.

Update 7.3.18 by Lyn 8 : By 1904 Joseph's mother Elizabeth was living with another man and both were charged and imprisoned for neglecting 3 children. His mother was given a prison sentence of 1 month. Hence his admittance to the Children Homes at Fir Vale Workhouse. It would have been at this point that Joseph was put in the homes at Fir Vale. At some point he was put into the Children's Homes at Fir Vale Workhouse and placed in the home at 421 City Rd, in 1907 winning a prize...

In 1911, Joseph Argent, 18, domestic, with Frederick and Etta Wilcox in Binbrook, Wentworth, Ontario.

On 6 October 1915, Joseph Argent, 22, son of Wm and Elizabeth Argent, married Clara Waite in Abingdon, Lincoln, Ontario.
