In 1901, Alexander Bonwick, 2 years of age, was residing at 40 St. Marys Road, Barking, Essex, England. Other family members included: John Wm. Bonwick, 6; Annie E[lizabeth Soper] Bonwick, 26; Annie May Bonwick, 10 months; John A. Bonwick, 23 (age is incorrect--John Alexander Bonwick was born in 1868 and was actually 33), District Council (road) labourer; William J. Bonwick, 4; and a boarder, William R. A death registration was found for John Alexander Bonwick; Estimated Birth Year: abt 1868; Year of Registration: 1902; Quarter of Registration: Apr-May-Jun; Age at Death: 34; District: Romford; County: Essex; Volume: 4a; Page: 251. (EDITORS NOTE: An interesting side note was that Annie Elizabeth Bonwick married her boarder, William R. Pryor in 1903 in Romford, Essex, England.)

In 1907, Alexander Bonrick, 8, arrived at Portland, Maine, with a group of 349 children en route to Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

In 1911, Alex Bonwick was shown as a domestic for Donald Patterson and family in Nottawasaga, Simcoe, Ontario, Canada. His date of birth is shown as April 1901 and his immigration year as 1895. Alexander's brother, William James Bonwick is also shown as a domestic at this farm.

On July 1, 1920, Alexander Bonwick, 20, oiler, was aboard the SS Impoco as a member of the crew. The ship docked in New York, New York, from Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. He was described as 5 foot 3 inches in height and 149 pounds.
