NotesMother: Jane Dixon. After Jane's death about 1890, Louisa was adopted by her grandmother, Jane Sophia Peacock.

In 1889, Louisa Dixon, 12, arrived at Quebec, Canada, in a group of 106 Barnardo children en route to Peterborough, Ontario, Canada.

On June 8, 1904, at Toronto, York, Ontario, Canada, a marriage was registered between Louise Ellen Dixon, 27, born in England; and Chas James Balmer, 29, born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, to George H. Balmer and Elizth H Boddington.

Charles and Louise Ellen Dixon Balmer had four children: Gordon Albert Balmer; Hazel Louise Balmer; Russell Charles Balmer; and Elsie Balmer.

In 1926 Charles and Louise Dixon were living at 26 Brookside Ave, Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

Louisa Ellen Dixon Balmer died August 24, 1961, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, at the age of 84. Charles James Balmer died Saturday, February 22, 1941, in St. Joseph's Hospital, Toronto, Ontario, Canada. They are buried at Park Lawn Cemetery, Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
