In 1909, John G. Ryley, 16, arrived at Portland, Maine, USA, in a group of 310 Barnardo children en route to Peterborough, Ontario, Canada.

On April 30, 1910, Mary Ann McCracking Seston died of Tuberculosis at the Liverpool Workhouse Infirmary.

In 1951, John G. Ryley was residing at Silver Birch Street, Ontario, Canada, and employed as a Government Film Maker.
