NotesA birth registration was found for Lily May Norrey: Year of Registration: 1901; Quarter of Registration: Jul-Aug-Sep; District: Bridgnorth; County: Shropshire; Volume: 6a; Page: 610. Parents: James Norrey and Mary Ann Palmer, married 1886 in Cleobury Mortimer, Shropshire, England.

In 1908, Lilian Mary Norrey, 6 (along with sister Emily B. Norrey, 14), arrived at Quebec, Canada, in a group of 65 girls and 109 boys from Barnardo Homes accompanied by Mrs. Francis to Peterborough and Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

On May 26 1926, at Warksworth, Northumberland, Ontario, Canada, a marriage was registered between Lily May Norrey, 19, servant born in England, to Alen Norrey (noted that she did not know her mother's name and had no way of finding out); and another home child, Joseph Randolph Ansell, 29, farmer, born in England to Joseph Ansell (noted that he did not know his mother's name and had no way of finding out) Lily's married sister Mrs Wm McGraw was a witness and recorded as living in Percy Twp.
