NotesJames Glen was born at Rosebauk Place, 1:00 a.m., at Rosebank Place, Cambuslang, Lanarkshire, Scotland to John Glen (who had died on April 14, 1899), steelworker, and Annie Morton, married December 19, 1894, in Blythwood District, Glasgow, Scotland.)

In 1901, James Glen, 1, was residing at Main Street, Rosebank Place, Cambuslang, Lanarkshire, Scotland. Other family members included: mother, Ann Glen, 28, widow; Charles Glen, 2; grandparents, Elizabeth Morton, 74; and James Morton, 69, retired blacksmith.
