NotesA birth registration was found for John Underwood: Year of Registration: 1870; Quarter of Registration: Jan-Feb-Mar; District: Cookham; County: Berkshire; Volume: 2c; Page: 434. Parents: John Underwood and Keziah Webb, married 1865 in Cookham, Berkshire, England.

A death registration was found for John Bye Underwood: Year of Registration: 1881; Quarter of Registration: Oct-Nov-Dec; Age at Death: 39; District: Cookham; County: Berkshire; Volume: 2c; Page: 222.

In 1887, J. Underwood, 17, arrived with three other "lads from Maidenhead Farm, Cookham Union, England" in a party of 57 persons from Church Emigration Society Group, 9, Victoria Chambers, Westminster, London, and en route to Rev. Sterne Light at Lansdowne, Ontario, Canada.
