NotesAlexander Angus was born on February 12, 1899, at 5 a.m., at 135 West Scotland Street, Kinning Park, Glasgow, Lanarkshire, Scotland. Parents: Alexander Angus and Agnes Crawford Watson, married November 20, 1884,at Sheffield, Yorkshire, England (the marriage was registered in the December quarter of 1887).

Agnes Crawford Angus died on July 29, 1901 at 6 a.m. at Belvidere Hospital, Glasgow, Lanarkshire, Scotland, of puerperal fever.

Alexander Angus, file cutter, widower of Agnes Crawford Watson, was found dead on September 3, 1901, at 10:30 a.m., at 7 Elmfoot Street, Glasgow, Lanarkshire, Scotland. He had committed suicide by hanging. The informant was his brother-in-law, Robert A. Watson.

In 1910, Alexander Angus, 13, arrived at Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, in a group of 100 Quarrier children en route to Brockville, Ontario, Canada.

On February 7, 1916, Alex joined the Canadian Armed Forces. He stated that he was residing at Fairknowe Home in Brockville, Ontario, Canada; that he was not married; that he was a labourer; that his next of kind was Jean Angus, who was his sister, and who also resided at the Fairknowe Home in Brockville, Ontario. A note is in the file from Claude A Winters, manager of the Fairknowe Home giving his consent for Alexander Angus to enlist for Overseas Service, as he was his guardian. He would on Oct 18, 1916 embarked the SS Northland at Halifax Nova Scotia and would head to Witley Camp in England. Admitted to the Isolation Hospital at Aldershot diagnosed with Mumps in January of 1917. Address for next of kin changed to read Miss Jean Angus, 24 Nickle St, Copper Cliff Ontario

On September 13, 1920, Alexander Angus married Florence Mildred Frith, the daughter of Robert and Elizabeth (Maguire) Frith, at Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Alexander stated that he was a salesman; that he was a Presbyterian; and that his parents names were Alex Angus and Agnes Waters.Sep 6, 1921

Alexander died at the Sunnybrook Hospital in Toronto, Ontario.
