Commonwealth War Graves Registers and Circumstances of Casualty state that George died of wounds sustained in an air raid on Number 4 Company's lines. He was evacuated to Number 1 Canadian Casualty Clearing Station where he died. His Next of Kin was listed as being redirected to the Unit Director of Administration of 'G' Unit, B. S. C. R.
