Father Charles William Snazell
Mother Lottie Theresa Burford
Left 23.5.1916, age 15, from Liverpool on the Pretorian ship bound for Quebec, travelling as part of a group of 4 boys of a similar age - arriving 4.6.1916.
Other boys on same ship were:-
Charles D White - age 15

He had a brother Charles Hubert Snazell born in Q1 1899 - I don't think he was shipped out anywhere - as he was still living in the UK in 1959.
And a sister Kitty Edna Snazell, born approx 1909 (which is the same year as her Father, Charles Snazell, died) I don't know if there were any further children born between 1900 and 1909. There were a set of twins, Albert & Edward, born 1902, but died 1903 - in the same Essex region. I have not confirmed if they were relatives.
In the 1911 census Ernest was living in Reedham Orphanage, Coulsdon, Surrey. Whereas Charles was living with his Maternal Grandparents in Ilford, Essex. And Kitty was with her widowed Mother as a visitor in a house, also in Ilford, Essex.
In Canada he lived in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan - listed as a labourer and a Methodist.
In 1922 he can be found on the St Albans lists, crossing into USA.
Ernest was then 21 and lists himself as an artist. He was going from Winnipeg, Manitoba to Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA
He had a return trip to the UK, to visit his Mother (then re-married, Mrs Lottie Phillipps, in Sheffield) He sailed from New York on the Aquitania Aug 16, 1924 bound for Southampton.
The return trip to USA was from Liverpool on Oct 1 1924, ship Carmania, arriving 9.10.1924. He is listed as a photographer going to Chicago.
He died in March 1972 in Lake Bluff, Illinois
