NotesGeorge Henry Parker, born 2 February 1878 in Maidstone Kent to Edwin Parker and Eliza (nee Critchell). George was placed in the (Farningham) Home for Little Boys, South Darenth, Kent by the 1881 Census, where he is listed as an "inmate".

Parents possibly married in the Dec qtr 1879 in Pancras District, London. In the 1881 census, George's presumed family still resided in London: 18 Ranwell St. with children: Edwin; James; Alfred; Louisa; Harry and Frederick. All of these children were Middlesex born, George, presumbly the youngest, was born in Kent.

In 1891, George Parker, 13, arrived at Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, along with a group of 90 children en route to Stratford, Ontario, Canada, accompanied by James Merry.

In 1911, George Parker, 31, printer, was shown residing at 28 Olive, Ward Five, Toronto North, Ontario, Canada. His date of birth is shown as February 1880 and his immigration year as 1889. Other family members included: Della Parker, 28 (wife); George Parker, 8 (son); and Lila Parker, 5 (daughter).
