NotesEdwin George Chuter born on 2 June 1879 in Islington, Greater London, Middlesex, England. Parents were Thomas Chuter b.1851 and died 1887,and Mary Shurgold b.1850 in Wiltshire, died in 1904.
1881 census indicated residence as Islington, Middlesex,
1891 census indicated residence as Calne, Wiltshire in the orphanage at Calne St. Mary the Virgin.
1896 emigrated with MacPherson Party to Stratford Ontario.
1901 census indicated residence as Huron West, Sub district of Goderich. Immigration year stated as 1896.
1906 Edwin resided in the Hamlet of Varna, Ontario. He married Susannah C.A. Elliott on 15 May 1906.
1911 census indicates residence as Stanley Township, Huron South. Immigration year stated as 1896.
They resided in Varna, Ontario until their deaths.
Edwin died in Clinton Hospital on 6 Jan 1955. Susannah remained at their home until her death in 1963.
