In 1894, Florence Kelsey, 7, arrived at Quebec, Canada, along with a group of 60 girls accompanied by Maria Rye en route to Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario, Canada. (Sister Edith Kelsey, 7, arrived in 1892 on the Mongolian; and brother Alfred Kelsey arrived in 1892; and Albert Kelsey arrived in 1893.)
In Ploughshares and Prairie Trails, Dilke and District, a book about Dilke, Saskatchewan, Canada the following was found:
"Edith Kelsey was born in Margate, England. She came to Canada as an orphan at the age of seven years. ... Her brothers Albert and Charles, and a sister homesteaded in the Kedleston district on the Jack Johnson farm: G.C. Daintree's were near-by neighbours.
