In 1909, J. Ivon Kidgell, 11, arrived at Quebec, Canada, in a group of 103 Barnardo girls en route to Peterborough, Ontario, Canada. (Brother, Frances Kidgell, 6, arrived at Portland, Maine, USA, in 1902 on the Colonian with 53 Barnardo boys from Leopold House, 199 Burdett Road, East London; and sister, Dorothy Kidgell, 8, arrived on the New England at Quebec, Canada, in 1902, with 400 Barnardo children.)

Yvonne Kidgell married Robert C. Wells, a master baker, in Canada. Ivon (Yvonne) reported to Barnardos that they had two children by 1927.
