In 1921, James Craig, 13, arrived at Quebec, Canada, in a group of 134 Barnardo children en route to Toronto, Ontario, Canada. He declared that his intended occupation was to do farm work; that he was born in Northumberland, England; that his passage was paid by Dr. Barnardo's Homes; that he was destined to his friend, Mr. J. W. Hobday, 50-52 Peter Street, Toronto, Ontario, Canada; that his nearest relation was his grandmother, Mrs. Bradley, who resided at 20 Ouse Street, Ouseburn, Newcastle on Tyne, England.
