Parents: Henry George Jolly Smith Rows and Eliza Rachel (Olive) Anderson, a domestic servant.
In 1890, Ethel Anderson, 5, designated as an orphan and originally from the Middlesbrough Union Workhouse, arrived at Quebec, Canada, in a group of 52 Maria Rye children accompanied by Mrs. Soffe, matron, and en route to Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario, Canada. [EDITORS NOTE: Ethel was not an orphan. Eliza Anderson was still alive when Ethel was sent to Canada. She lived until 1951.]
On March 3, 1908, at Erindale, Peel, Ontario, Canada, a marriage was registered between Ethel Rose Anderson, 23, maid, born in England, to (foster parents) Mr. and Mrs. John Wilson; and Charles R. Booth, 28, coachman, born in England to Thomas Booth and Mary Ann Jackson.
It appears that Charles' true surname was Bainbridge.

Credit, Ontario, Canada; that her final destination was Buffalo, New York; that her husband paid her fare; that she intended to reside permanently in the United States with her husband, Charles on East Amherst Street, Buffalo, New York. She was described as 5 foot 4 inches and did not know where she was born.
Ethel Rows Anderson Bainbridge died in 1963 in Williamsville, New York, USA. Charles Thomas Bainbridge died 1974 in Williamsville, New York, USA.
