1911 Canadian Census information places Noel Sarson in Percy Township, Northumberland, Ontario in the household of John Oliver. He was listed as an adopted son born May 1897, having arrived from England in 1907.

Attestation papers were signed 9 Dec 1916 in Coburg, Ontario. He was born 23 May 1897 in Rhuddlan, North Wales, Britian. His Next of Kin was his Mother, Mary Sarson of Rhuddlan, North Wales. He was a farmer by trade in Hastings, Ontario. 5'4" in height with hazel eyes and dark brown hair. His religion was listed as Methodist.

Commonwealth War Graves Registers states he was Killed in Action. His Next of Kin was Mrs. Mary Sarson of Rhuddlan, North Wales. A photograph of his grave was send 25 Apr 1921 and cemetery registation was sent out 22 Nov 1927. He was buried in La Targette British Cemetery, Neuville-Saint-Vaast, Nord Pas de Calais, France.
