According to Salvation Army and Boards of Guardians records, Dorothy was with Charles McDonald, Woodville, Thorah Twp, Ontario on 25 March 1916. She is with the family through inspections up until 28 April 1920 when it is noted that inspections are completed. In the 1921 census she is still with the family.
