Notes In 1921, Rose E. Hollamby, 13, arrived at Quebec, Canada, in a group of 134 Barnardo children en route to Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It was declared that she was 17; that her birthplace was Southborough; that her present occupation was as a domestic; that her intended occupation was as a domestic worker; that her object in going to Canada was for domestic work; that she was destined to Mr. Hobday, Hazel Brae, Peterboro, Ontario, Canada; and that her nearest relative in England was her mother, Mrs. Hollamby, who resided at Brown Cottages, Modest Corner, Victoria Road, Southborough, England.
A juvenile inspector reported [T-15423]:
HOLLAMBY, Rose E. 13 24.1.08 1921 Barnardo's 1922-26 Campbellford "Progress and character good. Employed by Telephone Co. In 1929 Employed by Restaurant."
Rose Ethel Hollamby died in June, 2001, in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada.
