In 1887, William Acaster, 19, arrived in Quebec, Canada, in a group of 157 Barnardo boys en route to Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

Ebenezer William Acaster died in 1916 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, aged 48. His wife Charlotte Marion Acaster died January 8, 1934, at Winnipeg General Hospital, Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, following an illness. She was 74.
