In 1905, Maggie McCormack, 16, arrived at Quebec, Canada, in a group of 84 Quarrier children from the Orphan Homes of Scotland, accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. D.J. Findley of Lanark and Mr. George Roberts, a widower from England, en route to Fair Knowe, Brockville, Ontario, Canada.
On August 4, 1910, at Brockville, Leeds, Ontario, Canada, Margaret McCormack, 21, house keeper, (date of birth: February 6, 1889 in Scotland), died at the General Hospital of tuberculosis, 3 months duration.
Maggie McCormack is remembered at The Brockville Cemetery Est. 1861 aka The Old Protestant Cemetery, Highway 2, West of Brockville, Leeds, Ontario, Canada on a stone "erected by the Fairknowe Scotch boys and girls in loving memory of their departed companions."
