In 1920, Kathleen Large, 10, arrived at Quebec, Canada, in a group of 94 Middlemore children en route to Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada.

On November 28, 1929, at 24 Church Street, Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, a marriage was registered between Kathleen Large, 20, housekeeper, born in England to Mary Jane Large (father's name not known); and Harry James Rouse, 30, farmer, born in Worcestershire, England, to Harry Rouse and Fanny Bullock. (Henry James Rouse was also a Middlemore child placed in Nova Scotia.)

Harry James Rouse died November, 1970, in Antigonish, Nova Scotia, Canada. Kathleen Large Rouse died on June 21, 2001, in Baddeck, Nova Scotia, Canada.
