Parents: William Allanson and Sarah Jane Knight, married 1880 in Warrington, Cheshire, England.

A death registration was found for William Allanson: Year of Registration: 1908; Quarter of Registration: Oct-Nov-Dec; Age at Death: 52; District: Stockport; County: Cheshire, Lancashire; Volume: 8a; Page: 66.

In 1911, Lily Allanson, 15, arrived at Quebec, Canada, in a group of 27 girls from the Church of England Waifs & Strays en route to Niagara-on-the-Lake (note: 2 girls were en route to other destinations).
