Sophia and her daughters arrived in Canada on May 7 1913 just months after her son arrived, Sophia married a Stephen Jones on April 15 1914 in Welland, Welland, Ontario

On Dec 13th 1915, Horace Bedford Pashley born Feb 12th 1893 Leeds, England, enlisted in Canadian Army, he gave his next of kin
as Mother-Sophia Jones, Low Banks, Ontario, and that he lived in the same place

On 2nd September 1918, Lance Corporal H B Pashley died in France while with Canadian Infantry (Central Ontario Regiment),he was reported as the son of Mrs. S. Jones (formerly Pashley), of Lowbanks, Ontario and the late Mr. J. W. Pashley. Native of England. He is buried in Dury Mill British Cemetery, Pas De Calaise, France
