A death registration was found for Mary Jane Gambriel: Estimated Birth Year: abt 1859; Year of Registration: 1887; Quarter of Registration: Jul-Aug-Sep; Age at Death: 28; District: Blean; County: Kent; Volume: 2a; Page: 455.

In 1891, Edgar Jesse Gambrial, 6 years of age, was shown as a boarder, along with another boy, Geo Henry Haynes, 10, in the home of Margaret Salvage, 65, widow, Redelty(?) Street, Cheddar, Somerset, England. (Source: 1891 Census of England; Class: RG12; Piece: 1922; Folio 50; Page 19; GSU roll: 6097032.)

In 1894, Edgar Gambrial, 9, arrived at Portland, Maine, USA, and was
immediately transported by train to Huntsville, Ontario, Canada, in a group of 228 Barnardo children en route to Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. [EDITORS NOTE: The ship originally docked at Halifax on April 9, 1894.]

On March 29, 1910, at Collingwood, Simcoe, Ontario, Canada, a marriage was registered between Edward Jesse Gambriel, 25, machinist, son of Mary Jane Gambriel (knew nothing of father); and Sarah Jane Cheesman, 19, daughter of Wm. Henry Cheesman and Elizabeth Kenwell.

Jesse Edgar and Sarah Jane Gambriel had at least 5 children: William Richard Gambriel, born March 25, 1912 in Ontario Canada; George Edward Gambriel, born August 3, 1914 in Collingwood Ontario Canada; Harry Cheeseman Gambriel, born 1918 in Ontario Canada; Lloyd Alexander Gambriel, born Decmeber 5, 1923 in Ontario Canada; and Mary Elizabeth Gambriel, born 1929 in Ontario Canada.

Jesse Edgar S. Gambriel died in 1960 at Chatham, Ontario, Canada. Sarah Jane Cheeseman Gambriel died in 1964 at Chatham, Ontario, Canada.
