In 1901, George E. Worthington, 6 years of age, was residing at 7 Wellington, Terrace, St. John, Preston, Lancashire, England. Other family members included: Catherine Harrison, 15, visitor, machine stocking knitter; Nellie Harrison, 25, servant to the family; Albert E. In 1909, George Worthington, 13 (along with his sister Rachel Worthington, 15), arrived in Quebec, Canada, with a group of 25 children en route to Hamilton, Ontario, Canada.

On September 18, 1918, George Edward Worthington was forcibly drafted after being apprehended on the same day by Dom. Police for not registering under the Military Service Act of 1917. He declared that he resided at 1121 Cannon Street East, Hamilton, Ontario, Canada; that his next of kind was his sister, Miss Rachel Worthington, who resided in Port Stanley, Ontario, Canada; that his date of birth was January 26, 1896; that he was born in Preston, England; that he was single; and that he was a member of the Church of England. He was described as 5 foot 5 inches in height; fair complexion; blue eyes; and brown hair. He had distinguishing marks of 4 vaccination marks on his left arm, last time at childhood; right epidydinis [epididymis] enlarged, tender, denies history of GC [Gonorrhea].

On February 1, 1922, in Welland, Ontario, Canada, a marriage was registered George Edward Frederick Worthington, 26, butcher, born in England, son of Edward Worthington and Florence Spooner, and Anna Marie Feller, 23, born in Buffalo, New York, USA, daughter of Frank Feller and Kunacunda Humer.
