Their son Frank is listed as 6 years of age born about 1895 in 'Isle of Wight, Newchurch'. Also in residence were children Charles (12), George (10), James (8) and Edward (4). James was a Dairyman by trade.

1911 English Census records place the family of Fanny (Peach) and James Barton Salter in Smallmoor, Shorwell, Newchurch, Isle of Wight, United Kingdom. In residence were Charles (22), George (20), James (18), and Frank (16). James Barton was listed as a farmer by occupation, all boys but James the younger worked on the farm, James the younger was a carman.
