A death registration was found for Ellen Stevens: Year of Registration: 1883; Quarter of Registration: Jul-Aug-Sep; Age at Death: 34; District: Bradfield; County: Berkshire; Volume: 2c; Page: 183.

In 1887, Walter Stevens, 6 (along with sister Rose Ellen Stevens, 9, and brothers Arthur Stevens, 11, Frank Stevens, 12, and Christopher Stevens, 7), arrived in Canada in a group of 28 Middlemore children en route to the Guthrie Home, London, Ontario, Canada.
