In 1922, Stanley William David Foster, 9, arrived at Quebec, Canada, in a group of 172 Barnardo children en route to Toronto, Ontario, Canada. He declared that his intended occupation was farm work; that he was born in London, England; that he was destined to Mr. Hobday, 538 Jarvis Street, Toronto, Ontario, Canada; and that his nearest relation in England was his brother, James Foster, who resided at 56 Lessada Street, Roman Road, Bethnal Green, London, England.
