NotesSent by West Derby Union

April 12 1899

at St Vincents Home, 11 St Thomas St, Ottawa

Age about 7, health weak constitution, his body and hands are covered in sores and matter runs from his nose continually. I would recommend that for the above reasons this child should be returned to England,

Supplementary report - 25 September 1899

This child is still at the home. His condition is much improved, yet it is not entirely satisfactory and Miss Brennan says she is in communication with the Society with a view of having him returned to the Old Country

Miss Brennan reports that owing to an outbreak of measles at the Home at Liverpool, this child was not returned to England, he has however been placed with Mrs Ronald, St Columbin, Two Mountains, Quebec temporarily

with Mrs John Ronald, farmer, P.O St Columbin, Two Mountains, Quebec

May 2 1900

About 9 years of age, good home, practically no work at all, drives the cattle, more for companionship, good health-no sign of any ailment, attends Roman Catholic Church, not school, Mrs Ronald regrets that he is unable to attend school; the nearest is four or five miles distant. Character good, his habits are greatly improved. Terms-Board and Clothing. Mr and Mrs Ronald appear to take a great interest in the little lad, and say they would not care to part with him. The lad is happy and contented.

with Mrs William O'Connor, Snr, St Canute, Two Mountains, Quebec

December 11 1902

Age 12, suitable home, plain farmers, employed at chores, healthy, attends Roman Catholic Church, well behaved,
Terms-Board and Clothing. A fair type of child. He does not receive schooling but should. His clothing is suitable. Mrs O'Connor
expresses a liking for the child, and I believe, gives him good care
