character-bad, untruthful, dishonest and unmanageable Mrs Crumpstone says,
Terms-the usual four years engagment dating from 1st April 1902 $10, $20, $30 and $40 per annum respectively.
I called upon Mr Crumpstone and saw him and his wife, between whom there seemed to be a difference opinion regarding the boy, the latter saying that she did not consider him utterly bad, but rather a lad who under certain conditions and influences might redeem himself. Not being able to manage him, he was returned to the Barnardo Home, Winnipeg, on 25th January last

On December 22 1914, Joseph Robinson born 28 September 1891 Middlesbrough, enlisted in Canadian Army, he stated his next of kin was 'Not Known' and that he was a farmer.

In June 1930, Joseph Robinson, 38, widower, attempted to re-enter Canada from the USA, he gave his residence in America as Cass City, Michigan and that he was born in Middlebrough, England, he had lived in Canada from 1900 until 1930. He gave his nearest relative as his sister in law-Miss N Bassett, 19 Ferndale, Barnstead, England, he had planned to go to St Mary's, Ontario
