"Sixteenth Annual Report of the Local Government Board, 1886-87; Copy of Reports of Inspection of Children sent out to Canada, as of February 12, 1887.
Report of Mr. John Smith, Government Immigration Agent at Hamilton, Ontario.
David Pearce, aged 10, from parish of Liverpool, placed with Sisters St. Joseph's, St. Catherine's, Ontario. Placed with James Dunn, milkman, St. Catherine's, in very undesirable place. He is well fed and sheltered, but the Dunns are not fit to have charge of children as they neither send him to day, Sunday school, or church. The boy is truthful and honest and would make a good lad if properly looked after. I have given notice for his removal anil the priest will see to it."
