Parents: William Thorne and Querina Slowley, married in Clifton, Gloucestershire, England, in 1876.

In 1890, Querina Thorne, 11, arrived at Quebec, Canada, in a group of 3 children from Mrs. Foster at Barton Regis, Gloucestershire, England, for S[amuel] Gardner at Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada.

On December 21, 1902, at 36 St. James, Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada, Querina Thorne gave birth to an illegitimate child named Edna May Thorne, naming the father as James Birmingham.

On August 16, 1912, at Sussex, New Brunswick, Canada, Querena Thorne gave birth to an illegitimate child named Beatrice Bessie Mae Brewing, naming the father as Russel Brewing.
