Additional information from karenhemmingham: "The address on his birth certificate was 93 Grove Lane, Camberwell - a Mission of Hope private home for 'unmarried Mums of good character from decent homes'. She was born 1883 in Bacton, and gives her occupation as school teacher. Aged 14 Gordan [sic] went to Canada, possibly paid for by his Mum."

In Jul Qtr of 1917, Florence J Dorling married Henry Boughey in Hartismere, Suffolk, a son was born to this marriage in 1922.
