A birth registration was found for Florence Daisy Achurch: Year of Registration: 1901; Quarter of Registration: Oct-Nov-Dec; District: Fulham; County: Greater London, London, Middlesex; Volume: 1a; Page: 255.

On February 22 1910, Florence Achurch aged 8 was admitted to Lambeth Union Schools from Lambeth Workhouse, along with her brother Walter aged 5. Father Thos, a Porters Labourer,address unknown, mother Louisa in Renfrew Road Workhouse.

The workhouse register states Louisa Achurch, 35, factory hand, of 26 Johanna Street, was admitted on Feb 21 1910 to Renfrew Road Workhouse, She was discharged on 14.3.10 c/o Mrs McDougall? Her three children were admitted with her Doris, 13, Florence aged 8 and Walter aged 5. All three children were discharged to Norwood Schools.

On 21 March 1910, Louisa and Doris were discharged from the Workhouse together, on 1 March 1911, Walter was sent to Millfield, Rustington by the Union authorities.


On Dec 20 1912, Florence Achurch, was re-admitted to Lambeth Union Schools from the Schools Infirmary on Dec 20 1912, informant Mother,

On 19 Aug 1913, Florence Achurch was discharged from Lambeth Union Schools, Norwood into the care of Macpherson Homes for emigration to Canada

In 1913, Daisy Achurch, 12, arrived in Quebec, Canada, with 14 boys and girls en route to Stratford, Ontario, Canada.
