NotesIn 1891, Esther Aldgate, 12, arrived at Quebec, Canada, in a group of 39 Maria Rye girls accompanied by Mrs. Soffe en route to Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario, Canada.

She is buried in the Rundle family plot in Sparta South Cemetery, Yarmouth, Elgin, Ontario, Canada. A red granite monument marks the plot:
