In 1915, Ivan Allebone, 8 (along with brother, Walter Ed Allebone, 12), arrived at Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada, in a group of 100 Barnardo boys en route to Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

Stanley Leslie Allebone died April 8, 1915 at Barnardo's 50-52 Peter Street, address in Toronto from meningitis just 10 days after his arrival in Canada. Stanley is buried in Park Lawn Cemetery in Toronto. His brother, Walter Edward Allebone has erected a monument in memory of his brother and other Barnardo children.
